Benefits of vegetable oil
Vegetable oil is one of the food cooking ingredients that many people, especially ladies, try to avoid, but how many people actually know that oil is among one of the Five Food Groups essential in your diet.  Oil gives energy and heats your body.  Vegetable oil helps the body absorb Vitamin A, D, E and K as these vitamins are soluble in vegetable oil.  Apart from exercising to maintain good health, consuming vegetable oil that has non-saturated fatty acid such as soybean oil, sunflower oil and rice bran oil in a reasonable amount is essential.

The consequences of oil deficient diet
An oil deficient diet might cause your body to lack energy and become underweight.  Another consequence is a lack of Vitamins that are soluble in oil as well as a lack of essential fatty acids which help your body system to function properly.  For example, Lynoleic acid can help reduce blood cholesterol by dissolving the cholesterol, which can prevent heart disease and some arthrosclerosis conditions.

The consequences of consuming excess oil
Excessive oil in the diet means the body is getting more energy than needed.  The energy will turn into fat, increasing the risk of being overweight and obese.  In people over 40, consuming over 40 percent of calories from food high in saturated fatty acid will stimulate the production of LDL cholesterol which might increase high blood cholesterol and triglycerides causing heart disease and some arthrosclerosis conditions.
